These days I very rarely go out to eat “blindly”. As eating at restaurants has sadly got so much more expensive (and your gal’s not made of money!) I usually check what offers are out there and narrow it down that way 💴 You’ll have seen me post about brandpayofficial before. It is a loyalty scheme that allows you to make money by posting about accredited venues that you have visited - in turn, you can then spend that money at other venues which will make your bill cheaper. Anyone can use Brandpay (you don’t need to be a food blogger or have a minimum following!). Another silver lining of using it is that it has encouraged me to try places that are accredited and I hadn’t been to before. Started in Bali originally, Brandpay is now well established in Oxfordshire! 🧡🔓 📀 A classy meal to celebrate the new album drop last night! Caroline and I tried ox_two_ in North Oxford last night, it was the first visit for both of us. The venue used to be a wine bar and they’ve definitely kept that vibe with the flowery decor, dim lighting, huge wine list and a menu of mostly small plates to share. From a GF point of view, I was super impressed. The waiter confidently talked me through the menu, 95% of it was naturally GF or could be customized to be GF. We got a few small plates to share - referring to the pictures: roasted peppers with goat’s cheese, burrata salad, sardines (we both loved these!), beef tartare, orange wine, a crab bisque (yep that’s not coffee!) - and also fries with house aioli, obviously. We enjoyed our evening - definitely on the classier side, which is reflected in the price, but worth it. ox_two_ are now on brandpayofficial in Oxford!
